A LECTURER AT UNIVERSITY OF MKAR KILLED BY UNKNOWN GUN MEN IN GBOKO BENUE STATE

The police in Benue have confirmed that a
lecturer at Mkar University, Gboko was killed by
unidentified gunmen at his residence in Gboko.
ASP Moses Yanmu, the Police Public Relations
Officer (PPRO) told the News Agency of Nigeria
(NAN) on Thursday in Makurdi that the lecturer
was shot on the chest by gunmen on Tuesday.
He said that the late university don died at
Benue State Teaching Hospital Makurdi where
he was rushed to, adding that the police had
commenced investigations to arrest the
gunmen.
Yanmu appealed to people with useful
information that would lead to the arrest of the
culprits to volunteer it to security agencies.
NAN reports that the deceased lecturer was a
chairmanship aspirant in the state.
